Windows media player 11 library not updating
For my little 429-track library, it took less than 2 minutes, which is quick keeping in mind that ) are tagged with album art and all other information. This trick will certainly help you whenever you’re having library problems with WMP 12.Now when you restart Windows Media Player, you should be able to add music to your library again.I keep my audio files tagged in windows media library. Album Arts(thumbnails) are not updated in the media library.
Also you may get album info and download covers via online databases like freedb, Discogs or Music Brainz.
From the Services window, find the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service again, but this time when Right-Clicking select Start.
Again, a small dialog box will temporarily appear while the process enables itself.
I think the album art thumbnails are cached by wmp. These files contain the album art that was automatically downloaded by WMP, so it might be a good idea to back them up first.
If you can't see these files, make sure that Explorer is set to show hidden files and folders, and to show protected operating system files. The songs for which you manually deleted the old, cached album art should get updated with their new, embedded art.
You can create playlists in one click and export your collection to HTML, Excel or any user-defined format.
